The Summer months are a great time in Ottawa with tons of festivals, markets, cultural celebrations and so much more.
There’s nothing worse than trying to figure out your weekend plans and then hearing about all of the exciting activities way too late.

Here are 8 June events in Ottawa, you don’t want to miss:
1. June 8-10: Orléans Craft Beer Festival (19+ event, ID required)
Offering a great combination of craft beers, wines and spirits, delicious food, and great live entertainment, you’re bound to have a great time! While the vendors will be the same all weekend, there are 4 sessions with a variety of live artists performing so make sure you check out the lineup!

2. June 9-15: Korea Week
Korea Week provides opportunities for Canadians to experience and celebrate rich and diverse Korean culture. The weeklong event will boast every aspect of Korean culture, from its cuisine, tourism, Hangeul, traditional culture, taekwondo, K-pop, and Hanbok, and so much more.
It’s especially exciting as the City of Ottawa will officially proclaim June 9 to June 15 as ‘Korea Week’ during the opening ceremony of K-Fest at Lansdowne Park!

3. June 9-18: Italian Week Ottawa
The 9-day festival is an annual celebration of Italian heritage, a space for Italians who are new to Canada to feel at home and to invite Canadians with no Italian heritage to experience what it means to be Italian for a moment or as they warmly say experiencing what it’s like “going to Nonna’s house for dinner”.

4. June 17: Carp Fair Truck and Tractor Pull
Watch almost 15 different types of trucks and tractors in this exciting competition and family friendly fun.
It’s an affordable and exciting activity to get out and explore Carp (yes, kids 12 and under are free). Live entertainment and food vendors will also be available on-site!

5. June 17: Summer Indigenous Art Market
The National Arts Centre (NAC), is hosting Indigenous artists, artisans and excited shoppers for the Summer Indigenous Art Market. Admission is free to browse a range of jewelry, beadwork, paintings, sculptures and so much more.
Come by to support the work of Métis, Inuit and First Nations makers. Cash or card may be available (depending on the vendor), however an ATM is on site.

6. June 22-25: Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival
The annual festival brings over 200 teams in competitive and community categories, and the largest dragon boating festival in North America.
The four day celebration offers free admission to view the non-stop racing, concerts, amusement attractions, a variety of artisans, delicious culinary treats and much more.

7. June 23-25: Escapade Music Festival (16+ event, ID required)
This electric music festival brings together EDM and house music lovers to the National Capital Region to experience some of the biggest names in the industry.
The 3-day lineup is jam-packed with full days of artists across 3 different stages. It keeps people on their feet and dancing the entire time!

8. June 23-30: Jazz Festival
The Ottawa Jazz Festival has hosted and celebrated an impressive range of renowned artists and up-and-coming musicians for more than 40 years, across all genres and iterations of jazz.
With another full-lineup taking the stage this year, you can select from the options of full festival or single day passes to appreciate the lovely tunes of jazz music.
